Cree LED Launches New SMD LED Products for High-Resolution Large Screen Displays
Recently, Cree LED announced the launch of three new LED products, all of which use SMD packaging and have been optimized for high-resolution screens on large displays, enhancing the picture quality and reliability of various large-size display screens. The new LED products are mainly used in sports venue signs, airport display screens, command center display screens, and full-color road signs.
The first new product is the CV94A-FGC, which is the latest product in the CV94 LED series and uses an RGB three-in-one structure with a 90°/45° elliptical beam angle. The CV94 LED SMD series can replace through-hole LEDs and can be applied in outdoor and large-pixel pitch display scenes, such as road signs and LED billboards. Compared with through-hole LEDs, SMD packaging can reduce the complexity and cost of manufacturing and assembling displays for manufacturers while improving image quality.
The second product, CLMWB-FKC, is an RGB three-color SMD LED with an area of only 1.6 x 1.7mm, characterized by a wide viewing angle and high brightness. The product has been optimized for high-resolution outdoor LED displays used in sports venue displays and advertising displays.
Both of the above two new products, CLMWB-FKC and CV94A-FGC, have an IPx8 waterproof rating and ultraviolet protection function, which improves the reliability of the display screen under extreme weather conditions.
The last product is the UHD111A-FKA, also an SMD packaging structure with an RGB three-color LED, with a size of only 1.0 x 1.0 mm and high brightness and reliability. The product has been optimized for high-resolution indoor LED displays used in airports, shopping centers, and command centers. Unlike other LED products of this type, the UHD111A-FKA does not require wire bonding, thus significantly improving black level and contrast.
Cree LED stated that the new RGB LED products can provide higher resolution and higher image quality for most large display applications while saving application costs. It is reported that the three new products will begin to be supplied in the near future.
