Kystar KBS2000 LED Display Sending Box Description
The Kystar KBS2000 is a high-performance LED display sending box engineered for large rental and fixed-installation video walls used in concerts, stadiums, exhibitions, conference halls, and other professional AV environments. It accepts 1× DP1.2 and 1× HDMI 2.0 input with up to 4096×2160@60Hz input support, provides 20× Gigabit Ethernet outputs plus 4× optical ports (2 main and 2 backup), and supports a total load of up to 8.85 million pixels. The unit supports EDID management, passive brightness & color calibration, fast calibration data distribution, spherical warping, arbitrary wiring (for non-rectangular layouts), HDMI/DP loop chaining, 3D display (with load reduction), network redundancy, and cascade control for flexible, large-scale deployments.

• Inputs: 1× DP1.2 and 1× HDMI2.0; HDMI max input 4096×2160@60Hz; supports arbitrary custom resolutions within supported pixel area.
• Loop output/chaining: selectable HDMI or DP loop output for chaining; supports chaining up to 8 units.
• Network outputs: 20× Gigabit Ethernet ports and 4× optical ports (2 main + 2 backup) for redundancy and long-distance links.
• Pixel load capacity: single-port load 65W pixels; full-unit load up to 885W pixels; supports very large single-unit widths/heights within supported pixel area (manufacturer specifies up to 8000×8000 within supported pixel area).
• EDID management ensures robust input compatibility and correct signal negotiation.
• Passive brightness & color calibration: compatible with Kystar calibration system to calibrate each pixel’s luminance and chromaticity without a video source, ensuring uniform screen appearance.
• Fast calibration data distribution: proprietary fast-download technology, approximately twice as fast as traditional methods, to speed up calibration workflows.
• Spherical warping: built-in algorithms for sphere-like and curved screens when used with KR, Hxs, and Mx series receiving cards.
• Arbitrary wiring support: non-rectangular loading allowed; unused areas do not consume pixel load resources to maximize port utilization.
• 3D display support: compatible with 3D transmitter and 3D glasses (note: 3D mode halves available load).
• Control and communication: USB and Gigabit Ethernet for PC configuration and debugging; cascade control via Gigabit supports centralized control of up to 8 units.
• Brightness and color temperature adjustment; network redundancy backup supported.
• Typical applications: rental LED walls, fixed-installation video walls, concerts, sports events, exhibitions, and conference centers.
