The editorial team of LED Display World reviewed and summarized the remarkable achievements of the past year, selecting the following top ten projects. On October 11, 2024, the world’s first 20-meter full-transparent acoustic LED movie screen was installed and used in Nanjing, Jiangsu. Compared to traditional movie projectors and screens, this full-transparent acoustic design resolves the challenge of sound-image localization in cinemas, creating a more immersive viewing environment and meeting the growing demand for cultural entertainment.
Developed by Lopu, the screen measures 20 meters in width and 10 meters in height, making it the first of its kind in the world. Traditional movie screens have a perforation rate of around 5%, while this full-transparent acoustic LED screen has a perforation rate of 17%, with a screen thickness of only 3mm, which includes components like circuit boards and front-and-back metal shielding. In addition to stable, realistic images with ultra-high contrast and brightness, as well as a wide color gamut, this technology supports the upgrade of related projection equipment and will drive innovations in consumer scene optimization.

2. National's First "Super Large P0.7" Micro LED Display
In May 2024, the LED display system at the Port Command and Scheduling Center of National Energy Group in Huanghua Port was officially delivered and put into use. This project, with a Micro LED application area of 127m² at P0.7 resolution, is the largest in China.
The project utilizes Leyard’s next-generation MIP (Micro LED in Package) technology, featuring extremely deep black modules and ultra-high brightness displays. The entire screen has a resolution of 32,256 × 6,480, offering ultra-HD image quality that delivers unparalleled visual experiences. 3. London Future Stores (Immersive Retail Store) MIP Technology Large Display
Assisted by AOTO Electronics, the London Future Stores grandly opened. This immersive retail concept seamlessly blends advanced display technology with data analytics, creating a completely new shopping experience that merges physical shopping with digital interactivity. AOTO Electronics, as a core technical partner, supported the store’s 400+ square meter core display area with its MIP series LED display solutions.
Future Stores spans over 400 square meters, with designs emphasizing flexibility and dynamic experiences. The store updates its brand activities every 2 to 6 weeks, adjusting layouts for specific time slots and cultural events. AOTO Electronics provided 1,883 MIP1.5 series LED displays, seamlessly covering the store’s walls and ceilings, creating an immersive visual environment. In addition to outstanding display performance, these screens also support generative AI and real-time interactivity, enabling consumers to engage deeply with brand displays and activities.

4. Adele Munich Concert Rental LED Screen Project
After an 8-year hiatus, superstar Adele returned to Europe for a series of 10 concerts held every weekend from August 2 to 31, 2024. The massive Unilumin RediO LED screen was a focal point during the performance. Currently, discussions about this giant screen are everywhere, reaching millions of views and sparking widespread attention.
The curved screen, built with 6,000+ RediO CB5MKII LED panels, covers a total area of 4,159.7m² (4,760m² including the lift platform side screens) and contains 140 million pixels. Weighing 176 tons, this screen set a Guinness World Record for the “Largest Outdoor Continuous LED Display.”

5. 2024 NBA All-Star Game LED Court Floor Screen
In February 2024, the NBA used an LED court floor screen for the first time during the All-Star Weekend. Installed at Lucas Oil Stadium, the floor, created using Absen PL Series products, transformed the entire court into a high-definition display, smoothly showing game-related content in real time.
The floor screen can change the court’s markings, adjust the floor’s color, and display game data, replays, celebratory animations, and graphics. Players can also wear special tracking devices to interact with the floor screen. This “black tech” addition offered fans an unprecedented visual experience.

6. Paris 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony and Smart Venue Projects
Unilumin has been deeply engaged in the LED industry for over 20 years. With its strong technical foundation and innovative capabilities, it provided over 2,600 square meters of LED displays and supporting solutions for five major smart venues, including the main Paris Olympic stadium, the Parc des Princes, CO’Met sports hall, and the event area by the Seine River where the opening ceremony will be held. These displays will broadcast live events, create an immersive viewing experience for the on-site audience, and showcase the power of “striving for excellence” from China to the world.
The LED displays provided by Unilumin for this project include the UsurfaceIII outdoor high-brightness screen from the Usurface series, the URMIII rental screen from the U-Star series, and the UsportF24-3 court perimeter screens. Among these, the UsurfaceIII is the industry’s first SMD outdoor high-brightness screen with a brightness of over 10,000 nits. On September 6, 2024, the highly anticipated Shanghai Lingang Yaoxue Ice and Snow World officially opened to the public. As the world’s largest indoor ski venue, the complex spans 350,000 square meters, including over 90,000 square meters of the Yaoxue Snow World and around 20,000 square meters of the Yaoxue Water World. Notably, the 98,828.7 square meters of the Yaoxue Snow World have been officially recognized by the Guinness World Records.
Lianjian Optoelectronics, as the gold supplier of LED screens for Yaoxue Ice and Snow World, provided nearly 40 LED screens, covering an area of approximately 1,000 square meters across various indoor and outdoor areas such as the snow world, water world, ticketing hall, and Viking restaurant.
Upon entering the snow world ticketing hall, visitors are greeted by a 36-meter-long curved LED wall. With delicate image quality and rich information displays, the screen showcases ticket prices, promotional videos, and exciting events, making it a dynamic communication platform between the ice world and visitors.
In addition to these eye-catching large screens, Lianjian Optoelectronics also customized LED screens for popular areas within the park, including the water park’s play area, the entrance to the Viking restaurant, and the storage area entrance.
This collaboration between Lianjian Optoelectronics and Shanghai Yaoxue Ice and Snow World not only represents a significant milestone in response to the national policy for cultural tourism industry development but also marks a new era for ice and snow tourism experiences, driven by technology, creativity, and immersive experiences.

8. CCTV 2024 Spring Festival Gala Main Stage Screens
In celebration of the Dragon Year, AET Altai provided over 1,000 square meters of main and secondary screens for the CCTV Spring Festival Gala stage. The newly designed indoor creative stage rental QC Pro series screens dazzled with brilliance, creating an XR + VP mixed reality system that presented stunning and lifelike virtual and real space, vividly depicting the soaring dragon motif.
This is AET Altai’s fifth year providing stage screens for the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, showcasing the company’s innovation and expertise in LED direct-view technology. By integrating LED screens with VP movie production modes, AET Altai created an XR + VP mixed reality system, utilizing dynamic scene previews and virtual-light interaction filming techniques to present breathtaking visuals.

9. Laoshan COB Ultra-High Definition Smart Screen Project
In the Laoshan City Operations Center in Qingdao, Shandong Province, an ultra-large LED screen is used to display various public information and spatial data with high precision. This COB ultra-high-definition screen, created by Leyard Optoelectronics, has a main screen area of over 150 square meters and a resolution exceeding 20,160×4,320 pixels.
The Leyard COB ultra-high-definition screen adopts advanced flip-chip COB packaging technology, providing clear, detailed, and stable display effects with low maintenance costs. This packaging technology simplifies the manufacturing process, offers better heat dissipation, and enhances the screen’s stability and performance.
The Leyard COB ultra-high-definition screen is used in areas such as social governance, urban management, public services, and government services. 10. Global First 5G Stage Rental Solution Screen Project
Tomorrowland 2024, the 20th anniversary celebration of the world’s top electronic music festival, took place over 8 days, attracting over 400 artists and 400,000 music fans from around the world in Boom, Belgium. The event became an epic celebration of music, technology, and art.
In this grand celebration, Shijue Guangxu, in collaboration with Nova, presented the world’s first 5G high-end stage rental solution, delivering an unprecedented visual impact and creating an extraordinary stage for the music festival, marking a milestone in the development of large-scale electronic music stages.
Shijue Guangxu’s partner used AR series LED screens, providing over 1,600 square meters of LED display for the Tomorrowland main stage and fan event areas along the Seine River. The entire system used Nova’s 5G control system, including the MX2000Pro controller and XA50Pro receiver card, which greatly improved efficiency and provided a new level of convenience for this world-class music festival.
